Leadership positions exist mainly to guide volunteers toward the main vision of the organization.

 

Those in leadership positions will be expected to know, work with, and occasionally represent their team in org-wide meetings. The only requirement to apply for leadership positions is your commitment to the vision and your team. Learn more below.

Personnel & HR

VP Personnel and HR

* Serves as advisor to volunteer coordinator and wellness representative.

* Sets the quarterly goal for the division and helps the team achieve it.

Volunteer Coordinator

* In charge of recruiting volunteers from the member database for events

* Keeps track of volunteer workload and volunteer hours.

* Works closely with program team

Wellness Representative

* Plans fun and exclusive events for members and volunteers to keep morale high.

* In the event of conflict or dispute, acts as the neutral and advising party.

VP Engagement and Publicity

VP Engagement and Publicity
* Steers the team towards the goal for the quarter.
* Oversees both internal and external communications.
* Serves as counsel to social media team and internal communications manager.
* Approves outgoing communications to social media and internal newsletter.


Internal Communications Manager
* Writes monthly newsletter to update members.
* Serves as secretary during organisation wide meeting. Takes minutes.

 

Financing

VP Financing 

* Approves all financial decisions made in the organisation. 
* Serves as main financial advisor.
* Sets targets and helps fundraising team meet them.
* Approves the allocation of funds to various projects.
* Tracks monthly spending and collates quarterly financial report.

 

Planning & Operations

VP Planning & Operations
* Organizes event brainstorming with program team members.
* Sets event goals and expectations for the team for each quarter and year.
* Works with all other divisions to recruit, publicize, finance, and research great programs.
* Approves events and coordinates calendar for each quarter.


Program manager (Beyond Boundaries Scholars Program)
* Maintains contact with and checks up on BB scholars frequently
* Organizes financial reports on the program cost every quarte

* Provides quarter updates on the program 



 
Research & Development 

VP Research & Development
* Outlines the research goals for the quarter
* Approves scientific reports. Checks for proper citations and other vital aspects of scientific literature.
