Volunteer  Opportunities

What would we be without our volunteers?
We rely significantly on the diversity of our volunteers. Whether you're a programmer, writer, content creator, or event planner, there's a niche for you. But we don't just want you to volunteer with us; we are committed to helping you grow in useful skills for work, home, or school, like event planning, content creation, scientific research, etc.

What's more? Volunteers work temporarily. This means that no position is permanent. We provide flexibility if you'd like to switch teams, try something new, move up into leadership, or take a break.  And if you love your role, you don't have to change.

Writer

Are you well-versed in environmental studies, climate change, or health? eager to tell a story? Do you have good writing skills?

Then our writing opportunity is for you.

Writers often work on new stories for the blog to enlighten our community. They also write brief newspaper-like articles on events.

Expectations are between one to two blog-length posts a month.

Vlogger

Do you love working with your phone, taking videos, or making them?

Are you familiar with video-editing apps or willing to learn?

To be more relatable to the Nigerian environment, we are looking for volunteers who can make videos relating to our core topics right from their spaces (home, school, work, anywhere).

From plastic-free challenges to our events, the Evergreen vlogger is an environmental reporter for news that contributes to the cause.  Vloggers work on the social media team.

Translator

At The Evergreen Project, communication is critical as it helps us create awareness about important issues. And we believe that language should not be a barrier to spreading the message of conservation and empowerment. Are you fluent in a native Nigerian language? Then there's a spot here for you. From writing subtitles for our videos to helping translate our flyers, translators break the language barrier so no one is left behind.
